STUST operates on a “two-semester” system, with semesters called “Fall” and “Spring”. Fall Semester starts from Mid-September to Mid-January. Spring Semester starts from Mid-February to Mid-June. Yes, of course. On campus, we have food court on second floor of Building W and one cafeteria at Dorm 6 which open from Monday to Friday. There are also 7-11 convenient stores and Starbucks Coffee. Off campus near STUST, there are lots of restaurants and food stalls. There are two Carrefours near STUST, you can go there by scooter or public transportation like taking a bus on campus.

If you have any problem with your dorm facility, you can go directly to the front desk of Dorm 6 to report and apply maintenance. If you have any problem with your study, try to ask the assistance from the department’s assistant. If you have any problem with administrative issues, please get help from Office of International Affairs (OIA) at W804.

6 months after you get Alien Residence Certificate (ARC), you are eligible to apply nationwide National Health Insurance (NHI) scheme. Every time you go to the hospital or clinic to visit the doctor, use NHI to get an insurance coverage. OIA will help you to apply NHI once you are eligible to apply. If you are still under 6 months and not eligible to apply NHI, then you have to get insurance for short-term which is required by Ministry of Education to provide the proof of insurance for at least 6 months.
